Some Information On TIF Files

Maybe most of you already heard about TIF files, and probably some of you even worked with this kind of file. Aside from that, I want to talk a little about this file extension TIF. Most of you would already know that this extension is one of many image kind of file. You can view this file using almost any basic image editing programs and for those that work in the field of design or advertising, these TIF files show that the image quality are very important.

One thing that is special about these file extension TIF is that no matter how many time you save them, there won’t be any formatting lost. There is even a lossless compression algorithm that will reduce the size of the files without any loss in visual quality called LZW, unlike other image formats that reduce visual quality for smaller size.
The downside of using file extension TIF are of course their large size that will eat up your drives space. Only use them when you felt like you really need to. Otherwise, stick with other image format. If you are interested with this information and wanted to know more, you can read it here.
