And Some Information On EMP Files

After the previous post about TIF files, now I would like to share some information on file extension EMP. Usually EMP files are associated with the online music service by eMusic.com. By purchasing the musics from eMusic.com, you’ll get yourself some emp files that will be converted into a normal MP3 that can be opened by any music player program. Most of you would already know that this extension is one of many image kind of file. You can view this file using almost any basic image editing programs and for those that work in the field of design or advertising, these TIF files show that the image quality are very important.

In this vast world of computer technology, new type of files are always appearing almost everyday and it’s almost impossible for someone to remember all of them, not to mention explaining them. And as someone who’s studying computer technology, I’m occasionally being asked about various file extensions. Luckily I recently stumbled upon File Extension, a website that offers explanations for those file extensions, starting from a common DOC extensions to some unusual extensions such as EMZ or P7M.

Bebo

Bebo, a social networking site, is stands for Blog Early Blog Often. Bebo launched in January 2005 by Michael and Xochi Birch. Then in July 2005, this site is relaunched. Bebo is growing rapidly in Irlandia, Kanada, US, UK, New Zealand and Australia. Bebo.com is bought by AOL at March 13, 2008 for $850m or £417m.

Be careful with IE

It seems that “save password” in Internet Explorer (IE) also not secure.

Password in IE is kept in window registry, but with this tiny apps (35kb only) called IE PassView , you can see all password.

Excel 2007 Viewer

Bug in Microsoft Excel 2007

There is a bug in Microsoft Excel. Try put 77.1 in A1 and 850 in B1. Then put “=A1*B1″ in C1. The result will be 100.000. If you are using your own calculator, it would be 65535.

If you don’t believe it, try it.
